In this paper, the FEM is used to calculate the influence of buildup welding sequence on residual stress and deformation with the material of 45#steel, SA508steel and SA351-CF3 stainless steel.Based on the given parameters the research simulates the buildup welding process with the three steels mentioned above.Results show that, for the smaller and thinner welding production, the tile sequence should be adopted, and the wrapping sequence otherwise.And for the welding production with smaller conductivity coefficient and larger expansion ratio, the wrapping sequence should be adopted.The simulation results offer an important reference for the actual productive process.
