Abstract

The principle of Y-delta changeover starting methods for reducing voltage is analyzed, and the factors affecting the starting torque of the asynchronous motor are generalized.A solution is proposed for the controlling requirements of running a high speed digital spindle on machining centers.The Y-delta changeover controlling on the high speed digital spindles is realized by PLC programming on Siemens 840D.The experiment results show that the project can meet the controlling requirements and get stable spindle operation.
