Analysis on the application of heat-pipe in cooling airborne electronic equipment

Abstract

The increasing demands on aircraft electronic equipment dissipation systems requires heat-pipes more suitable for the aircraft environment to cool electronic parts effectively and to maintain proper operating temperatures for electronic equipment.Dual compensation chamber loop heat pipe is shown to be the most suitable for airborne electronic equipment after analysis of four main types of heat-pipes and taking both the acceleration and changes in incline of aircrafts into consideration.Likewise, flat heat-pipe with rectangular micro-grooves is another type of heat-pipe with potential.
